DMZ or demilitarized zone is a perimeter network that protects an organization’s network and exposes its external-facing services to an untrusted network such as the Internet. A DMZ adds an additional layer of security to protect the data stored on the internal network. Simply put, a DMZ can allow your local network a safe access to the internet.
