With BeeGFS, the Media & Entertainment industry gains a game-changing file system that was developed by the German Frauenhofer institute for extreme performance and unique, cutting-edge cloud workflows. To show just how powerful the combination of ELEMENTS and BeeGFS can be, we have entered the SPEC SFS VDA Benchmark and achieved the highest score in a number of metrics such as the all-time highest stream count and throughput, highest stream count per storage device while distinctively achieving the highest CPU and RAM efficiency. From day one, the ELEMENTS ecosystem has been developed to provide maximum flexibility and efficiency for the most modern media workflows. Now, as the cloud adoption is gaining ever-more momentum in the Media & Entertainment industry, the ELEMENTS’ concept of a centralized media platform receives deserved attention. Media Library Updates

The support of cloud services has also been expanded in the ELEMENTS Media Library. Connecting the Media Library to the cloud lets users preview, share and collaborate on the footage as easily as if it were stored on on-premise storage. Also, the Media Library now allows external users to upload footage securely and supports full metadata transfer (even between separate ELEMENTS systems). The AAF export functionality was added to allow rough-cuts to be imported into Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and many other professional applications.
